Well we are back from a fun but exhausting trip to the UK. Lucie Rose is now officially baptised and I have sworn to keep her away from the devil... most of the time. Lucie Rose was so sweet the whole time, Kristof was ... well ya know how there is always one obnoxious child in churches that must run around, scream at inapropriate moments and constantly whine for mommy. Well, yes, you guessed it, that was our little kristof. Grrr. He was pretty cranky the whole first 2 days and went to sleep at 1am and was up at 5am. Take that and the long car rides, we were wiped out. But we also got to visit London, do a little shopping and see Yulia! Here's little Lucie Rose eating her baptism certificate.
Here we are on the ferry from Calais to Dover. Kristof had fun until the fog horn blew right over his head. He jumped so high if we had been close to the railing it would have been baby over board. So, Kristof was the little brat you always find in every church service. Would NOT settle down. I finally pulled out a dinosaur coloring book only to have him give a big dino growl during a quiet prayer. It would have been less disturbing if it hadn't been for the 50 other toddlers the same age as him that behaved like quiet little angels. Well, the english really do have more proper little princes than our half french half american devil.
So here are Lucie and her mum and daddy. Unfortunately I did not have my camera charged so these are just more mobile phone shots. Lucie was a perfect angel through the whole ceremony and parrty.
Our little chap was blending right in with his wellie boots and curls. Looking quite the english gent here. Would you look at this gourgeous little kid... What an angel!!!
Oh wait 5 seconds later:
The kids had great fun with the baloons. When cleaning up I gathered 50 or so of them out to the toddlers. They all came running to me like I was THE mesiah. Ofcourse one popped and Kristof decided "balloon pop!" and wouldn't touch them again.
The Pierce Smith crowd.
And back on the boat and finally smiling! |
