So we were in a restaurant this weekend. A cute little place with a fire in the fireplace, only about 10 tables in the place, very cosy, mostly "older" blue haired crowd. I was thorougly enjoying my salmon and rice and it was only out of "gourmandise" as the french say that I decided to ... horror of horrors... swipe a french fry off my 2 year olds plate. OH THE HOROR of it! Kristof stuck out his lower lip, his whole mouth turned down in a perfect upside down U of a frown, tears welled in his eyes and his hand raised to point one little finger at mommy. He did not put the finger down. He just kept pointing at mommy. A man at another table noticed and said "oh what's wrong with the little guy?". Daddy explained that mommy had stolen a fry. within about 5 minutes the whole restaurant was crowded around our table to see the 2 year old point out the guilty party... me. Well, basically, Kristof did not budge, tears rolled down, his finger pointed and he sat there completely overwhelmed with sadness. I was bright red and nearly crying myself partly because it was so funny but partly because I was feeling so guilty to have upset him so much. Someone from another table gave us one of his fries and Kristof without letting down his pointing finger, stuffed all at once the new fry and 3 others in his tiny little mouth in a frantic attempt to protect his fries. |

Wow it has been a long long time. So obviously much has happened since my last post in July. The cousins came to visit, the russians came to visit and I got pregnant! Pretty busy. So, I have been feeling really nauseous pretty much from the beginning. But atleast no vommiting. Food cravings and food aversions have been very strong. Went through a grilled cheese and pickle week, a chinese food week, a potatoe chip week, a tuna fish month, a salad week and now a salad and sandwich week. Kristof has been talking more and more especially since the cousins visit. He was not a big fan of disneyland but that may be because mommy and papa were not that into it. too hot, too many people, lines too long. |

Well it has been quite a while since I posted. I have to admit I have been taking fewer and fewer photos. For one, the super duper iphone that I love does not take pictures as well as my old phone. But, I don't care, I love it. I've been gradually installing my new computer and that takes a lot lot of time. The weather has been pretty great. At this point we are hoping for rain if only to save our lawn. The kitchen has started to move forward. The pool is almost covered, as in we are covering it with a wood terrace until we can figure out what to do with it. Our dressing rooms are installed (kind of) and Kristof has moved to a new room. I am ready to start buying furniture for the house, but alas, remi is not... he is still in ikea mode and does not appreciate the midcentury modern danish design I want... "if you are going to buy scandinavian why not just get ikea" he says. grrr. So, I am fed up with having to "ask daddy" in order to buy things and so i want more money so I am going to work full time for a while starting in the fall. It will be a real hassle with the nanny situation. And it puts baby 2 on hold just a leeeetle bit longer.

Well we are back from a fun but exhausting trip to the UK. Lucie Rose is now officially baptised and I have sworn to keep her away from the devil... most of the time. Lucie Rose was so sweet the whole time, Kristof was ... well ya know how there is always one obnoxious child in churches that must run around, scream at inapropriate moments and constantly whine for mommy. Well, yes, you guessed it, that was our little kristof. Grrr. He was pretty cranky the whole first 2 days and went to sleep at 1am and was up at 5am. Take that and the long car rides, we were wiped out. But we also got to visit London, do a little shopping and see Yulia! Here's little Lucie Rose eating her baptism certificate. |

So our neighbor's horse has been wandering loose around the neighborhood all week. He goes back into his paddock when he feels like it (generally when Oscar chases him there). He likes hanging out next to our yard at our fence until Oscar scares the bejeesez out of him and he takes off in a gallop. Ahhh life in the country. Its so fun!

The sunny days started in March though still quite cold. We have been playing playing playing in parks, at friend's houses and our own yard. April has given us the first days that don't require jackets when frolicking in the sun. We have finally had the time change and now enjoy the sun from morning until late in the night. I hope Kristof does not miss too much the moon that he used to search for every night. He now goes to bed at 8pm with the sun still fully shining. Ahhhh... spring! |

Saturday was spent moving Papa's company into a new office space as with all the great success of keltravo.com larger spaces were needed yet again. This time we took an overly large space so we won't have to move twice in one year again! Fortunately we had very little to do. Kristof just stopped by on Sunday to make sure all was well. He had a great time running and falling and slamming doors. |

Well not many posts lately tooo busy. Not many photos either as 2 years old wait for no camera. Spring is here! Still freezes at night but sun sun sun and FLOWERS! Alot of playing outside at playgrounds or in our own wild yard. We've got daffies and prim rose and hyacinth popping out. Wish I had time to garden. But must focus on the house first... still.
